The first annual Lit Crawl Denver is Friday, September 2! Join more than 30 Denver-area writers for a wild night of literary debauchery during Tennyson Street’s First Fridays Art Walk. The fun continues during the after-party hosted by the 2nd Annual Fu*%ing Fabulous Fiction Fest presented by BookBar, 9-11 p.m., at the Oriental Theater. At each reading Bienvenidos Food Bank will collect non-perishable items. There will also be cash cans; for every $1 donated Bienvenidos is able to provide $9 worth food for a family in need. Bienvenidos has been helping neighbors in need for 40 years!

Monique Lewis

Monique Antonette Lewis is the founder of New York City-based At The Inkwell, which supports published authors through book reviews, interviews and readings. The series is held in Denver, London, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Richmond. Monique is an annual reader for the James Jones First Novel Fellowship. A former board member of the New York Writers Workshop, she taught fiction workshops in Manhattan and Brooklyn. She was also the fiction editor for City Lit Rag. Monique has more than a decade of journalism experience and is an editor for Mergermarket. Her articles have appeared in Fused SocietyForbes and the Financial Times. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Wilkes University, and a B.A. in Journalism from Colorado State University. Monique lives with her family in Denver.
